Role Summary
This position, listed on Government Jobz, involves teaching Science to small classes across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will support students who have faced barriers to learning in mainstream settings. Backed by a strong leadership team and skilled TAs, you will create practical, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Science lessons (KS3 & KS4).
- Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel supported.
- Inspire pupils through hands-on teaching and practical experiments.
- Work closely with teaching assistants to provide consistent student support.
- Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote resilience, confidence, and a genuine love for learning.
Candidate Requirements
To qualify for this role through Government Jobz, you must meet the following criteria:
- Qualification: QTS with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Experience: Background in mainstream, SEND, or Alternative Provision.
- Skills: Excellent classroom management and behavior strategies.
- Mindset: A flexible, creative approach to lesson delivery and student outcomes.
- Clearance: An enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
