Survey Technician II – San Bernardino County

The Role
As a Survey Technician II (Official Title: Engineering Technician II), you will work with the County Surveyor’s Office performing vital GIS, field, and office work. Your duties will include reviewing maps, legal descriptions, and conducting measurements for construction and boundary surveys.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position found on Government Jobz, candidates must meet the following:
- Education: High school coursework in algebra, geometry, or trigonometry.
- Experience (Option 1): One year of technical work in Land Surveying, GIS, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience (Option 2): One year of road construction and street calculations for a public works agency.
- Substitutions: Relevant college units or LSIT/EIT certification may substitute for experience.
Benefits & Travel
This full-time position includes bi-annual step increases and excellent county benefits. Travel throughout the county is required, so you must have a valid California Class C driver’s license.
