About the Role
As a Social Worker II, you will handle journey-level casework within child welfare and adult services. At Government Jobz, we understand the importance of this role, which involves assessing client needs, investigating reports of abuse, and developing culturally sensitive treatment plans. You will work with a high degree of independence while using community resources to help families and individuals succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews to assess social, physical, and mental health needs.
- Evaluate safety for children and adults and determine treatment methods.
- Develop and maintain case records and testify in court when required.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for clients with specialized medical or legal needs.
- Interpret agency policies and regulations for applicants and clients.
Minimum Qualifications
According to Government Jobz research, applicants must meet one of the following:
- Pattern 1: One year of experience as a Social Worker I in an IMS county.
- Pattern 2: One year of full-time social work case management experience PLUS 30 college semester units (including 15 units in social/behavioral sciences).

Examination & Selection
