About the Legal Trainee Scheme
This comprehensive programme provides hands-on experience in the heart of the justice system. As a trainee listed via Government Jobz, you will:
- Review criminal cases and prepare pre-charge advice.
- Support victims and witnesses in high-stakes environments.
- Complete secondments outside of criminal law for a well-rounded education.
- Work in specialist areas like organized crime, fraud, and serious sexual offences.
- Transition into a permanent Crown Prosecutor role after two years.
Candidate Requirements
To qualify for this intake through Government Jobz, you must meet the following:
- Law degree, GDL, or CPE qualification.
- Completion of LPC or SQE before September 2027.
- Strong legal intellect and excellent verbal/written communication.
- A genuine passion for criminal law and public service.
