Job Summary & Duties

The Investigator V role at Government Jobz involves conducting complex and confidential investigations for civil and criminal cases. Unlike Tier IV, Tier V investigators handle the most diverse cases, including those involving government misconduct, organized crime, and career criminals.

• Interrogate witnesses, complainants, and suspects.
• Collaborate with military and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Present evidence and testify during grand jury and jury trials.
• Investigate fraud, malfeasance, and local ordinance violations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Police Science, Sociology, Psychology, or Public Administration.
• Experience: 3 years of law enforcement or investigational experience.
• Specialized Experience: At least 6 months of full-time criminal investigative work.
• License: Valid Hawaii State Driver’s License (Type 3).

Required Knowledge & Abilities

Successful candidates found via Government Jobz must demonstrate deep knowledge of the rules of evidence, laws of arrest, and court procedures. You must be able to evaluate facts objectively, understand human psychology, and handle the “Light” physical effort grouping required for the role.
