EMS Nurse Educator (Fire District)
Salary: $102,564.80 – $137,945.60 Annually
Bonus: Includes an additional 13.5% EMS Training Differential!
Role & Responsibilities
As an EMS Nurse Educator, you will be the backbone of paramedic training. Key duties include:
- Coordinating and monitoring required training and certifications for Fire Paramedics.
- Staying current on Federal, State, and County EMS regulations.
- Assisting with Quality Improvement (QI) investigations and clinical educational issues.
- Serving as the department’s infection control officer.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this elite position through Government Jobz, you must have:
- License: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications: Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Experience Option 1: 4 years in a pre-hospital care or emergency medicine environment (Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT).
- Experience Option 2: 3 years of experience teaching adults in a pre-hospital or ER setting.
- Travel: Valid California Class C Driver License.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The District is looking for candidates with a BSN or higher and experience in medical informatics and data collection. Proficiency in developing dynamic lesson plans for ALS and BLS personnel is highly valued. Certification as an instructor (ACLS, PALS, BLS) or NAEMSE certification is a major plus.
