Primary Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will act as the City’s primary defense against digital intrusions. Your core focus will include:

• Threat Intelligence: Monitoring networks for security breaches and investigating violations when they occur.
• Risk Assessment: Performing regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk audits on informatics systems.
• Infrastructure Defense: Installing and configuring firewalls, data encryption programs, and other security software.
• Policy Development: Developing and implementing organizational security standards and best practices.
• Incident Response: Leading the response to security incidents and providing forensic analysis post-event.

Candidate Qualifications

The City is seeking a candidate with a degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity and significant experience in informatics security. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate deep knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and legislative compliance (FOIP).
