Primary Responsibilities

As a Court Interpreter for the Scottsdale City Court, you will perform high-level linguistic tasks to ensure legal clarity. According to the listing found on Government Jobz, your core duties will include:

  • Providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for court proceedings.
  • Translating English and Spanish documents (written) and oral testimony.
  • Coordinating and scheduling interpreters for various other languages as needed by the Court.
  • Ensuring all interpreting needs within the Court Enhancement division are met with accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify through the Government Jobz portal, you must meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of professional Spanish/English interpreting experience.
  • Must reside in the State of Arizona during active employment.
  • Possess or obtain a Tier 3 or Tier 4 Arizona Court Interpreter Credential within 24 months of hire.

Preference is given to those with court-specific certifications or experience in a United States District Court or municipal setting.
