Role Definition & Levels

As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will manage programs like consumer protection, water sanitation, and land use. Government Jobz notes that this recruitment covers two levels:

  • Level I: Entry-level for those working toward State Registration.
  • Level II: Journey-level for Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS).

Essential Job Functions

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role involves both office work and field inspections. Fieldwork may include exposure to loud noise, extreme temperatures, and hazardous substances. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and walk on uneven surfaces during site visits.
