Position Summary

  • Operate multiline phone systems and manage staff schedules.
  • Review applications for accuracy and perform initial screenings for social services.

Regional Demographics & Economy

Lake County is a unique region with a diverse population. According to U.S. Census data, the racial composition of Lake County is approximately 68% White (non-Hispanic), 22% Hispanic or Latino, 4% Native American, 2% Black or African American, and 1% Asian. This role requires the ability to interact effectively with individuals from all these backgrounds. The local economy is primarily driven by agriculture (pears, walnuts, and grapes), the geothermal power industry, and tourism centered around Clear Lake.
