Job Overview

Teacher Salary Differentials & Bonuses
Qualified candidates with a Hawaii teaching license can earn significant annual bonuses (Pro-Rated):
- $10,000 – Special Education Differential
- $8,000 – Hard-to-Fill Area Differential
- $5,000 – National Board Certification Bonus
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this role through Government Jobz, applicants must meet the following:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Preferred: Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB).
- Experience: K-12 special education classroom experience is highly desired.
- Knowledge: Ability to facilitate IEP meetings, exercise professional judgment, and work under pressure.
Note: If hired without a program completion, you have 3 years to obtain your license while actively pursuing your education requirements.
Important Information
