Role & Responsibilities
A Psychiatric Nurse at the County of Sacramento performs professional nursing duties focused on mentally ill and emotionally disturbed patients. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide diagnosis and integrated treatment planning.
Key Duties Include:
- Providing professional nursing care and administering medications.
- Applying psychotherapy techniques and crisis intervention.
- Evaluating patient conditions through interviews and chart progress.
- Participating in individual and group counseling sessions.
- Maintaining safety through professional restraint methods when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications

- Licensure: Possession of a current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
