Job Overview

This seasonal role runs from May 2026 to October 2026. As part of the Government Jobz listings, this position is ideal for those who enjoy manual labor and facility maintenance. You will work under the Camp Caretaker to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment at Camp Sacramento.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair minor issues in electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Maintain camp facilities, including restrooms and general use buildings.
• Winterize equipment and interpret blueprints or diagrams.
• Operate hand/power tools and safely drive motor vehicles.
• Daily refuse collection and general camp upkeep.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role found on Government Jobz, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 3 months of maintenance or custodial work in recreation, school, or hospitality settings.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• License: Valid California Class C Driver License is required.
• Certifications: Water Distribution Operator Grade II or Forklift license is a plus.
• Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied outdoor terrains/weather.

Working Conditions

The job is located at Camp Sacramento in the Eldorado National Forest (Twin Bridges, CA). Per Government Jobz guidelines, please note that employees are required to reside on-site from May to August. Expect weekend and night shifts in cold weather conditions.
