Primary Duties & Responsibilities
As a Librarian VI, you will supervise statewide cataloging, classification, and database maintenance. Key tasks include:
- Organizing statewide library material acquisitions.
- Directing the implementation of metadata standards (RDA, Dewey Decimal, etc.).
- Managing e-resources and troubleshooting user access issues.
- Leading a team through training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
According to the standards listed on Government Jobz, candidates must possess:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience: 4.5 years of professional librarian experience.
- Specific Levels: At least 1 year at the Librarian V level or 2 years at the Librarian IV level.
- Supervisory Skills: 1 year of experience directing the work of others.
- Selective Certification: Experience in cataloging policies or e-resource budget tracking is mandatory.
