Job Duties Summary

Working directly under the Director of Taxation, you will lead the statewide tax compliance program. Your responsibilities include:

• Directing audit, assessment, and collection of General Excise, Income, and Miscellaneous taxes.
• Developing statewide operational policies for uniform tax administration.
• Coordinating legal actions, criminal tax prosecutions, and delinquent account enforcements.
• Managing the divisional budget and presenting testimony to the legislature.
• Overseeing personnel actions, including hiring, training, and discipline.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify for this position found on Government Jobz, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with 12+ credit hours in Accounting or Auditing.
• Specialized Experience: 3.5 years of professional tax law interpretation, program evaluation, or complex tax consultation.
• Supervisory Experience: 2 years leading a team within a tax program.
• Administrative Experience: 1 year of policy development and program management.
• Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
