Position Overview

This role supports Senior and Associate Engineers in maintaining and constructing City buildings. Responsibilities include designing power and lighting systems for facilities like fire stations, police stations, and offices. The position allows for intermittent remote work, provided you live within the Sacramento region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare plans and specs for street lighting, traffic signals, and utility pump stations.
• Research building codes and develop construction standards.
• Administer construction contracts and perform complex engineering calculations.
• Review plans for private developments and ensure City code compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

Assistant Level:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR possession of an EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certificate.
• Experience: One year of professional electrical engineering experience.

Associate Level (Flexibly Staffed):

• License: Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in California.
