Primary Responsibilities
As a Sawmill Worker, your daily tasks will include:
- Feeding conveyors, saws, hoppers, and drying machines.
- Loading chips, sulphur, and other processing materials.
- Sorting, piling, and transporting various wood products.
- Removing scrap lumber and cleaning the work area.
- Maintaining machines to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: No prior experience needed; the employer will train.
- Language: English.
- Physical Needs: Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Equipment: Must have steel-toed boots, hard hat, gloves, and safety gear.
