Role Description
The Claims Manager at Contra Costa Health Services ensures the integrity of payment systems. You will connect claims operations with configuration, compliance, and encounter reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee claims configuration, fee schedules, and benefit setups.
- Manage quality assurance, including pre-payment and post-payment audits.
- Lead encounter data rejection reviews and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor payment integrity and manage overpayment recovery.
- Coordinate with IT, finance, and provider relations to resolve system issues.
- Supervise medical records coders and claims integrity staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this position through Government Jobz, you must meet the following:
- Education: At least 60 semester units in business, health sciences, or a related field. (Experience can substitute for education).
- Experience: 3 years of full-time experience in managed care business services or medical claims processing in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Certification: Must obtain vendor-specific certifications within 6 months of hire if required.

Selection Process
The recruitment process includes an application evaluation followed by an Online Interview. Candidates must score at least 70% to pass. Oral interviews are tentatively scheduled for April 14-19, 2026. Successful applicants must pass fingerprinting (DOJ/FBI) and a background check.
