Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst acts as a vital liaison between municipal departments and technology. Your goal at Government Jobz is to solve business problems by translating requirements into technical solutions and system deployments. You will be a change agent, optimizing how people and technology work together to support the furthest north municipality in the US.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consult with management to define business needs and system access requirements.
• Design, test, and maintain JDE World/E1 and other NSB business applications.
• Document technical procedures and create training manuals for staff.
• Conduct business process reengineering and improvement projects.
• Analyze data to prepare statistical reports for management decisions.
• Assist in developing change management strategies for the Borough.
• Maintain system configuration tables and lead user acceptance testing.
• Mentor support staff and provide technical coaching.
• Travel to outlying villages as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in Computer Hardware, Application Software, or as a Business Analyst.
• Ability to obtain an Alaska Driver’s License within 6 months.
