Job Description & Responsibilities
As a specialist Physiotherapist listed on Government Jobz, you will provide high-level MSK assessments and treatments for military personnel. Key tasks include:
- Managing complex MSK caseloads, sports injuries, and acute/chronic conditions.
- Collaborating with Multi-disciplinary Teams (MDT) and Medical Officers.
- Developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Ensuring informed consent and effective communication with patients (including those with language barriers).
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and discharge reports for the Chain of Command.
- Overseeing the safe use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Essential Requirements
To qualify for this position via Government Jobz, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Registration: Must be HCPC Registered.
- Membership: Must be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience in MSK.
- Background: Previous experience as a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist is mandatory.
- Compliance: Right to work in the UK (MMP does not sponsor visas) and a valid PVG/Access NI certificate.
