What You Will Do
As a Utility Worker, you will assist professionals in the Department of Utilities to maintain the city’s water, sewer, and drainage systems. This is a field-based role perfect for those who enjoy physical work and learning about municipal infrastructure.
- Maintain and clean buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- Help clear debris from water, sewer, and flood control systems.
- Clean tanks, sedimentation basins, and screens.
- Prepare sports fields (baseball/softball) for games.
- Operate and deliver miscellaneous equipment.
- Learn about water distribution, meter reading, and drainage collection.
Requirements & Qualifications
The City of Sacramento is looking for motivated, friendly, and courteous individuals. To qualify through Government Jobz standards, you must:
