Key Responsibilities
As a Bus Operator listed on Government Jobz, your duties include:
- Driving transit vehicles on assigned routes and schedules.
- Conducting pre-trip inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
- Collecting fares, checking IDs, and boarding/off-loading passengers.
- Assisting passengers with disabilities and following ADA requirements.
- Using radios to report traffic or emergencies and maintaining trip paperwork.

Qualifications & Skills
- Age: Must be at least 19 years old.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- License: Must have or be willing to obtain a VA Class B CDL with Air Brakes and P endorsement.
- Skills: Knowledge of traffic rules, ability to read maps, and basic math skills.
- Requirements: Satisfactory driving record and passing a pre-employment drug screen.
Working Conditions
