Role Overview
As a HIT Program Outreach & Education Coordinator, you will design and deliver programs that recruit and retain hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts. This role, featured on Government Jobz, involves coordinating the Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) program and managing the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the Outdoor Youth Days Camp and public outreach efforts.
- Promote firearms safety and hunting culture through workshops and clinics.
- Work with over 500 volunteer instructors statewide.
- Travel to various schools to train staff in archery programs.
- Maintain a presence at the Rabbit Creek Shooting Park.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this position on Government Jobz, you must meet one of the following:
- A college degree (preferably in education/admin) plus one year of experience as an Education Associate 2.
- Six years of experience in education, counseling, or administrative services.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to legally carry firearms.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
