Salary and Benefits Package
Annual Salary Range: $68,316.00 – $84,336.00
Potential Total Package: Up to $90,619.00 (Including incentives)
- Education Pay (2% for Bachelor’s, 1% for Associate’s)
- Bilingual Pay ($1,800/year for Spanish)
- Uniform & Safety Allowance ($2,860/year total)
- Fully-paid Medical Insurance & Tuition Reimbursement
Job Summary & Duties
As a Custody Officer featured on Government Jobz, you will manage jail operations for a 92-bed facility. Key responsibilities include:
- Booking, fingerprinting, and photographing arrestees.
- Conducting searches for contraband and ensuring facility security.
- Providing transportation to courthouses and medical clearances.
- Responding to mental health needs and coordinating evaluations.
- Maintaining detailed written reports and testifying in court.

- Written Exam: June 6, 2026
- Oral Interview: June 24, 2026
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One year of recent paid public contact experience.
- License: Valid Class C driver license.
