The Role
As a GIS Analyst III, you won’t just be mapping; you’ll be leading. You will oversee the activities of other GIS personnel and provide advanced technical support. Your work will involve the development, testing, and integration of complex datasets and custom GIS applications across multiple city departments.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, Government Jobz notes that you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent units). Additional experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience: Three years of full-time professional GIS experience within the last six years.
- Seniority: At least one year of your experience must be at a level equivalent to a GIS Analyst II (performing complex integration and modification of datasets).
- License: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required at hire.
