Core Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you are responsible for producing high-quality images used for medical diagnosis. Your key duties will include:

• Operating technical x-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Positioning patients correctly using standard anatomical techniques.
• Assisting senior technologists and radiologists with complex diagnostic procedures.
• Maintaining equipment, performing quality control, and practicing radiation safety.
• Utilizing the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) to process and annotate images.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role according to Government Jobz, applicants must possess:

• Graduation from an accredited program in Medical Radiography Technology.
• Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
• Physical capability to lift and move patients and equipment (up to 30 lbs).
