Core Responsibilities
As a Cook at YWCA Toronto, you will adhere to Toronto Shelter Standards while managing the kitchen operations. Key duties include:
- Preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals, snacks, and bag lunches for shelter residents.
- Ensuring the kitchen, serving area, and cafeteria are cleaned and maintained to health regulation standards.
- Assisting the Food Services Co-ordinator with inventory management and food storage.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety in accordance with YWCA policies.
- Interacting compassionately with a diverse community of women and gender-diverse people.
