Key Responsibilities
The Senior Bookkeeper at BARRIERBOSS plays a critical role in managing manufacturing and retail financial flows:
- Financial Oversight: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Payroll: Administer bi-weekly payroll for manufacturing and office staff, ensuring compliance with BC employment standards.
- Compliance: Prepare and file GST/PST returns and assist with year-end tax preparations.
- Inventory Support: Work closely with the manufacturing team to track COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and inventory valuations.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Sage 50. Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Certification: A Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation or a diploma in Accounting is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with departmental managers and external auditors.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
