Major Duties & Responsibilities

The Technical Support Analyst at NBS is responsible for the health and optimization of the school’s digital ecosystem. Key duties include:

• User Support: Providing first-line technical assistance for staff and faculty via the IT ticketing system.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Deploying, installing, and maintaining hardware (workstations, peripherals, and networking gear).
• Cloud Administration: Managing user onboarding/off-boarding and security rules for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Data Integrity: Assisting the Business Systems Analyst with data workflow analysis and CRM support (experience with Blackbaud is an asset).
• Security & Networking: Monitoring firewall performance and ensuring cybersecurity best practices across all school platforms.

Skills and Qualifications

NBS is seeking a candidate with a degree or diploma in Computer Science and 2-3 years of related experience. Essential skills include:

• Proficiency in Microsoft-based environments (Active Directory, SharePoint, Teams).
• Experience with modern versions of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and switching equipment.
• Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex hardware/software conflicts.
• Excellent communication skills to support a diverse community of artists and educators.
