Job Details & Compensation Employer: A&W Location: 843 Tower St. S., Fergus, ON, N1M 2R2 (Urban Area) Work Setting: On-site Restaurant Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per week Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Schedule: Flexible hours (Day, Evening, Night, Morning, Early Morning, Shift, Overtime required) Vacancies: 2 Openings Start Date: As soon as possible Benefits: Other benefits provided Job Requirements Language: English Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate/diploma (1 to 2-year program) Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience Cuisine Specialty: Canadian Security: Basic security clearance required Transit: Public transportation is easily available Key Responsibilities & Tasks As a general cook at this facility, you will be expected to handle the following operational duties: Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and specialized food items. Prepare special meals for patients as instructed by a chef or dietitian. Supervise, train, recruit, and hire kitchen staff and helpers. Manage overall kitchen operations, organize buffets, and manage banquets. Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Order supplies, equipment, and maintain strict inventory records of food and assets. Working Conditions & Personal Suitability Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment under pressure. Tasks involve attention to detail, repetitive movements, and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who displays initiative, flexibility, dependability, organized habits, and strong judgment with a client-focused attitude. Who Can Apply?
