Role Overview

The National Trust is looking for a friendly Service Assistant to join the mansion house team at Cragside. Available through Government Jobz, this role is essential for welcoming over 250,000 annual visitors and sharing the innovative history of William Armstrong’s Victorian estate.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Service Assistant listed on Government Jobz, you will:

• Greet visitors at reception and assist with inquiries throughout the house.
• Work with volunteers to maintain security and fire safety compliance.
• Bring Cragside’s unique stories of hydro-power and innovation to life.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in a stunning Northumberland setting.

Working Pattern

This part-time contract requires 450 total hours over the term. Shifts are typically between 11:00 and 17:00, including one regular weekend day. Salary is paid in equal monthly installments via Government Jobz partners.
