About the Role
Government Jobz is excited to announce an opening for a Band 3 Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker. This permanent, full-time position focuses on the Mental Health of Learning Disability (MHLD) across East Kent, specifically based at the Beacon in Thanet.
As an STR worker, your primary goal is to promote independence and recovery for service users with learning disabilities. You will work within a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) to bridge the gap between clinical care and community reintegration.
Main Responsibilities
- Therapeutic Relationships: Build trust with service users to help them achieve recovery goals.
- Community Connection: Facilitate access to local resources, leisure activities, and support networks.
- Clinical Support: Assist nursing staff in Physical Health Clinics and monitor treatment plan implementations.
- Home Visits: Provide direct support to service users in their own homes as required.
- Collaboration: Work alongside care co-ordinators to plan and evaluate individual care plans following the “Recovery Model.”
- Health Promotion: Advise on diet, smoking cessation, and physical exercise.
