Essential Job Functions

The Assistant Engineer will handle specific portions of broader land development projects. Key duties include:

  • Preparing preliminary and final engineering plans and cost estimates for streets, storm drains, and sewers.
  • Performing calculations for hydrology, land surveys, and street alignments.
  • Reviewing subdivision maps, site development plans, and grading plans for accuracy.
  • Analyzing Storm Water Quality Management Plans and Best Management Practices (BMP).
  • Interacting with contractors, developers, and the public to provide technical information.
