Business Systems Analyst Vacancy – North Slope Borough

Role Summary
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will act as a bridge between departmental needs and technology solutions. Your mission at Government Jobz is to help the Management Information Systems (MIS) division optimize resources and improve municipal services for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document NSB business processes and system requirements.
- Liaise between end-users and IT staff to maintain systems like JDE World/E1.
- Design, test, and implement system enhancements.
- Conduct business process reengineering to improve efficiency.
- Develop training materials and mentor technical staff.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports for management decision-making.
- Travel to outlying villages as required for project support.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this career ladder position through Government Jobz, candidates must meet the following:
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in Computer Hardware operations, Application Software, or as a Business Analyst.
- License: Ability to obtain an Alaska Driver’s License within 6 months.
- Background: Must pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of JDE World/E1 or similar business software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Physical & Working Conditions
