About the Role
This “for credit” internship provides direct exposure to county-level conservation work. As a Conservation Technician, you will bridge the gap between academic theory and field practice. Key Responsibilities
- Collect lake and stream water samples for laboratory analysis.
- Conduct aquatic invasive species (AIS) monitoring and shoreline surveys.
- Perform GPS-based inventories of conservation practices and culverts.
- Assist with GIS-based land use delineation and agricultural cropping surveys.
- Represent the department at public educational events.
Preferred Qualifications
