Job Duties & Responsibilities
As a technician at the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center, your primary role involves fingerprint classification and record management. According to Government Jobz, your daily tasks will include:
- Comparing and classifying fingerprints using the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS).
- Entering data into the Criminal Justice Information (CJIS) Hawaii system.
- Processing arrest documents and assisting with record expungements.
- Managing criminal history files for law enforcement and judicial agencies.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role through Government Jobz, applicants must possess:
- Clerical Experience: Two (2) years of professional work involving office procedures, data entry, and basic arithmetic.
- Skills: Proficiency in English grammar, ability to read complex manuals, and high accuracy in alphanumeric data input.
