The Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) is seeking a highly skilled Electronic and Technology Support Technician. Featured on Government Jobz, this role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a diverse ecosystem of school technologies—ranging from fire alarms and security systems to VoIP networks and high-speed printers.

Primary Responsibilities

You will work under general direction to ensure that the district’s critical electronic infrastructure remains operational and efficient. View more IT and tech support jobs on our portal.

  • System Integration: Install, program, and maintain networked fire/intrusion alarms, clock systems, and bell schedules.
  • Network Support: Configure and troubleshoot VoIP systems, intercoms, public address systems, and IP surveillance cameras.
  • Device Repair: Diagnose and fix projectors, scoreboards, and various computerized office equipment.
  • Infrastructure: Repair network cabling and utilize aerial lifts (if certified) for high-access equipment.
  • Training: Provide technical guidance to district staff on new hardware and emerging technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in electronic/computer repair. LAN experience is required.
  • License: Valid Class C California Driver’s License.
  • Physical: Ability to lift 35 lbs, climb ladders, and crawl through ceilings or under flooring.
