Qualifications & Licensing

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Licensure: Candidates must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or an Emergency Hire Permit. Apply for these through the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB).
• Provisional Period: If hired without a Teacher’s Education Program completion, you have 3 years to obtain a full license while remaining enrolled in an approved program.
