The Role & Typical Duties

- Client Advocacy: Interview clients to ascertain needs and develop actionable social service treatment plans.
- Resource Navigation: Assist applicants in utilizing available community resources and interpreting department policies.
- Field Work: Perform home calls to assess living conditions and case progress.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate case narratives, reports, and records in accordance with confidentiality laws.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify through Government Jobz, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Equivalent to two (2) years of college-level study in behavioral or social sciences. (Related experience may be substituted year-for-year).
- Experience: One (1) year of experience equivalent to a Social Services Worker I in Tulare County.
- License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
- Bilingual Skills: Ability to speak/read/write in Spanish or Hmong is highly desirable.
