About the Role

Under general supervision, you will fight fires, perform emergency medical services (EMS), and conduct rescue operations. Other duties include fire prevention, station maintenance, and public safety training. Job Requirements

To qualify for this position through Government Jobz, you must meet the following:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications: EMT or Paramedic certification and CPR certification.
• Driver’s License: Valid Class B California license (or ability to obtain one).
• Experience: Lateral candidates need 2 years of full-time experience; entry-level must have required certifications.
• Physical Fitness: Must meet city physical standards and be able to lift over 100 lbs.

Essential Duties

• Respond to fire calls and suppress flames using hoses, ladders, and pumps.
• Provide emergency medical aid (EMT/Paramedic level).
• Maintain firefighting equipment and apparatus.
• Participate in building inspections and weed abatement programs.
• Serve as a “Disaster Service Worker” during extreme emergencies.
