Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Harbor Agent II, you will assist higher-level management in daily harbor operations. Duties include:
- Managing complex harbor activities and maintenance.
- Ensuring compliance with maritime rules and regulations.
- Maintaining positive relationships with harbor users and clients.
- Preparing clear, concise operational reports.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify for this role through Government Jobz, applicants must meet the following:
1. Education and Basic Experience
Possession of a high school diploma (or equivalent) OR one year of work experience demonstrating basic literacy and arithmetic skills.
2. Specialized Experience
Two years of full-time experience in a person-to-person work environment. You must demonstrate the ability to handle complex interpersonal relationships, apply regulations, and provide guidance to clients. Note: Basic retail or clerical roles with minimal client interaction (like sales clerks) typically do not qualify.
3. Driver’s License & TWIC Clearance
- A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment.
- Candidates must pass a federal criminal history check to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). While the applicant pays for the initial check, the state provides reimbursement upon hire.
