Role Responsibilities
Located within the Public Prekindergarten Program, these assistants work with children the year before they enter kindergarten. Primary duties include:
- Cultivating a healthy learning environment through positive child interactions.
- Modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging social rapport in the Hawaiian language.
- Assisting teachers in implementing learning experiences across all academic disciplines.
- Supervising child safety, including health routines like handwashing and resting.
- Observing and documenting child development data for the lead teacher.
Minimum Requirements

- Experience: Level II requires 1 year of general experience; Level III requires 1 year of general and 1 year of specialized educational experience.
