Duties and Responsibilities

Working within the Rate and Policy Analysis (RPA) Branch, you will:

  • Analyze insurance policy provisions and rates for compliance with State laws.
  • Protect public interest by examining domestic and foreign insurance filings.
  • Conduct research and recommend actions to the Insurance Commissioner.
  • Handle complex cases involving rating procedures and insurance codes.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, Government Jobz recommends ensuring you meet these criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree including 6 semester credits in Math or Statistics.
  • Experience: 2.5 years of professional experience in insurance rate and policy analysis.
  • Legal: Must be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident alien.

Professional Substitutions

If you lack the full experience, the following may count toward your requirements:

  • CLU or CPCU Certificate: Substitutes for 6 months of experience.
  • CAS Exams (Parts 3-6): Substitutes for 2 years of experience.
