What You Will Learn

As a Procurement Intern, you will work closely with experienced Procurement Analysts. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice. You can find more government internships in California on our site.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the purchase of goods and essential supplies.
• Processing and organizing contract documentation.
• Drafting and refining internal business processes.
• Job shadowing analysts during high-level contract negotiations.
• Supporting the Financial Services Branch with data entry and administrative tasks.

Who Should Apply?

Government Jobz recommends this role for students currently enrolled in accredited programs. Pay steps are determined by the number of units completed.

• Intern I: Undergraduate students (Part-time or Full-time).
• Intern II (Graduate): Students pursuing an MS, MBA, MPA, or equivalent.
• Intern II (Doctorate): Students in JD or Ph.D. programs.

Note: Post-graduation, interns may continue working up to 25 hours per week for up to two years at the department’s discretion.
