The Role & Responsibilities

In this position, you will support countywide Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). Key duties include:

• Configuring, installing, and supporting enterprise-class routers and switches.
• Troubleshooting TCP/IP, subnetting, and network security issues.
• Monitoring traffic, capacity planning, and maintaining wireless network equipment.
• Evaluating new technologies and providing application troubleshooting recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of work experience (within the last 5 years) troubleshooting enterprise networks, specifically with routers and switches.
• Technical Proficiency: Must have experience in at least two: Network Architecture, Wireless Platforms, Cisco Platforms (Nexus, ISR, etc.), or Routing Protocols (EIGRP, Static).
• Education: 30 semester units of post-high school coursework in Computer Science. Note: One additional year of experience can substitute for the education requirement.
• Legal: Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
