Position Overview
The Office Assistant – Cashier plays a critical role in the Adult Probation office by managing financial transactions and providing clerical support. This position ensures that all restitution and supervisory fees are processed accurately and promptly to support the department’s rehabilitative mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payments (restitution, supervisory fees, etc.) promptly and uniformly.
- Maintain accurate daily balances and reconcile totals at the end of each shift.
- Answer multi-line switchboards and greet clients in a professional manner.
- Assist Community Supervision Officers (CSOs) with fee screen translations and inquiries.
- Maintain a cooperative and positive work environment for staff and the public.
Requirements
