Job Responsibilities
As a member of the Downtown Facilities Team, your primary duties will include:
- Urban Camping Clean-up: Assisting in posting and cleaning up illegal urban camps and storing personal property.
- Landscape Maintenance: Mowing, weeding, mulching, pruning, and maintaining green spaces and medians.
- Stormwater Facility Care: Maintaining rain gardens, stormwater planters, and detention ponds.
- Emergency Response: Assisting with storm cleanup, snow removal, and emergency tree felling.
- Tech Usage: Using GIS Field Maps, mobile technology, and maintenance software to track work.
Minimum Qualifications

- Experience: One year of manual work in groundskeeping, park maintenance, or building repair.
- Licenses: A valid Oregon Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one). Must be able to obtain an Oregon Class “A” CDL within one year if required.
- Physicality: Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Employment Details
This Limited Duration (LD) position is at-will and offers health coverage for the employee. The schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Candidates must reside in Oregon and be able to report to the Cheshire Ave. location in Eugene.
