The Position & Career Path

Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service and ethical community-based policing.
- Responding to accidents, emergencies, and crimes.
- Conducting interviews, investigations, and writing detailed reports.
- Enforcing traffic laws and subduing suspects using safe tactics.
- Testifying in court and serving warrants or subpoenas.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED/CHSPE/HiSET).
- License: Valid Class C California driver’s license.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old at the time of appointment.
- Bilingual Skill: Must be fluent in English and Armenian.
- Legal: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have no felony convictions.

Selection Process & Exams
Applicants must complete the “Law Enforcement – Frontline National” exam via the National Testing Network by May 5, 2026. The process also includes:
- Physical Agility Test: Scheduled for April 25, 2026 (Stair climb, dummy drag, etc.).
- Bilingual Performance Test: Assessment of Armenian fluency.
- Background Investigation: Includes polygraph, medical exam, and psychological evaluation.
