Salary and Benefits
Level I Salary: $72,259.20 – $96,865.60 Annually
Level II Salary: $79,830.40 – $106,995.20 Annually
*Note: A 5% COLA increase is scheduled for July 2026.
What You Will Do
As a Public Health Nurse featured on Government Jobz, you will provide nursing care and case management in clinical and home settings. Key duties include:
- Conducting health assessments and diagnostic testing for high-risk populations.
- Coordinating care for childhood immunizations and family planning (Family PACT).
- Performing in-home visits to assess client health and lifestyle risks.
- Managing communicable disease cases and providing counseling on prevention.
- Determining medical eligibility for the California Children’s Services (CCS) program.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this Government Jobz listing, candidates must possess:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- License: Valid CA Registered Nurse license and Public Health Nurse Certificate.
- Level I: Entry-level; recent graduates with an interim permit may apply.
- Level II: One year of professional public health nursing experience.
- Skills: Experience in immunizations, family planning, and travel vaccines.
- Additional: Valid US driver’s license and CPR certification.
