Salary & Examination Info

According to Government Jobz, the pay is distributed bi-weekly as follows:

• Level I: $2,127.12 – $2,542.11 bi-weekly
• Level II: $2,385.67 – $2,851.10 bi-weekly

The selection process includes a Written Exam (100% weight). You must score at least 70% to pass. The exam covers problem-solving, cultural diversity, interviewing principles, and public relations.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify through Government Jobz, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• 60 semester units of college (including 9 units in math or science). Transcripts must be attached.
• High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience as a Public Works Maintenance Worker III.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements: Some roles require a valid Class A or B California Driver’s License. All hires must complete a 40-hour Hazwoper training within six months.
